SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs Installation - 2020 Winnebago View Motorhome- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer. And today, we're taking a look and installing the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle on a 2020 Winnebago View. Now, taking a look at the factory jounce bumper compared to our SumoSpring, you can clearly see the difference, and this is where that sway control really comes into play because as we're leaning on our vehicle, this takes a while to engage, hit the axle, and then kind of fight against it, where this one's gonna engage pretty quick, not really letting the vehicle sway much. And so it's gonna fight against it on both sides, just kind of closing that gap. And also, it's contoured to the axle, so that's pretty nice. Definitely the difference here is just gonna be how quickly it engages, and that's really gonna prevent your suspension from sagging down and being overworked. more

Hi, John with etrailer. Today we have a 2016 Winnebago Vista LX, and we're gonna be taking a look at and installing SumoSprings Maxim Rear Helper Springs on the rear axle here. Now in order for us to get a closer look at the construction and how they mount up to the Winnebago, let's go ahead and pull it in the shop so we can get a closer look. Now with the wheels removed, we can kind of take a closer look at the SumoSprings and how they mount up on this F-53 chassis. So basically this is the rear axle here. SumoSprings Maxim Rear Helper Springs Installation - 2020 Winnebago Vista Motorhome- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look at installing the SumoSprings Rear Helper Springs on a 2020 Winnebago-Vista. And this is what your SumoSpring is gonna look like when it's installed on your chassis. And it does have to be drilled into the frame for your top mounting plate. But the bottom bracket just simply bolts around your leaf springs. And this is gonna create a cushion between the frame of the vehicle and the leaf springs, and just help absorb a lot of the shock that your factory suspension just doesn't handle very well. The big thing with RVs like this, as you drive them side to side, you're gonna notice a lot of sway, and on the freeway, you may get wind kind of blowing you back and forth, and this is gonna help stabilize that, because it creates a larger, it fills this gap essentially, whereas your factory jounce, it's pretty small, and it takes a lot for it to finally compress enough for it to bottom out before you feel anything. more

Hello neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer, and today, we're taking a look and installing these SumoSprings Front helper springs for coil suspension on the front axle of a 2019 Winnebago Travato. Now, the ProMaster 3500s, you see a lot of times, as work vans or delivery vans, but you can see here, we have it in the van life configuration. And so, either way, you're gonna have weight associated with it, and that really means that this already fairly tall vehicle just feels a little bit more top heavy. And as far as steering, it's kind of numb from the factory, and adding weight's just gonna make it that much worse. So, adding these is not only going to just fill the void in the spring, and really help supplement it, it's gonna just give you that better overall handling, and just better steering feel throughout, not only just parking lots, but out on the highway, and that's kind of a great thing to have, and especially in something like this. It's kind of a big sail out on the highway, so if you can kind of reduce some of that sway side to side, it's gonna be a great addition, and you're really gonna notice it every time you drive. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2021 Winnebago View Motorhome- Video
Hey guys, this is Jake here with etrailer. Today we've got a 2021 Winnebago View and we're gonna be installing some Timbrens on it to help with the rear suspension. A big question we get here at etrailer is how can I control the body roll or limit it in my RV Well, Timbren is just one of the many suspension enhancements that you can put on your RV because what'll happen is because an RV is so tall, you're gonna have a lot of wind that's causing body roll, bumps in the road, sharp turns. That's all gonna cause the vehicle to rock side to side and that can be a really uneasy feeling. Adding these Timbrens, they're going to replace your jounce bumpers on your motorhome and they're going to engage much faster than the jounce bumpers would have to. The springs we're installing today are gonna be a progressive spring and what that means is the more and more they compress the harder they're gonna work to eliminate that body roll. more

But before we get into that why don't we just take a minute check these out and make sure they're gonna work for you. Before we get started, what we like to do is just some before and after, you know that way we can compare our ride quality before we put the front Sumos on and after to see if it makes a big improvement. Now in the past I've done these quite a bit with stock pipe suspension and they make a big difference. I'm really curious with our particular setup here today though because we've already done some work to it in the past it has some upgraded components, a swaybar, a steering stabilizer and everything else. more

Hi there, Winnebago Owners. Today in your 2005 Winnebago Adventure, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install SumoSprings for the rear axle. And this is what our SumoSprings looks like when it's installed. You can see that the bracket is a custom fit for this chassis, as it will line up with the factory jumps bumper attachment and it will connect right on there on one side. And on the other side, it actually lines up with factory holes that are already there present. So you don't have to do any drilling really with this setup to get these installed. more

SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs Installation - 2005 Winnebago Adventurer Motorhome- Video
Hello, neighbors, it's Brad here at etrailer and today, we're taking a look and installing SumoSprings Front Helper Springs on the front of a 2005 Winnebago Adventurer. Now, if you hop under your Adventurer and you see these factory jounce bumpers, these do an okay job, but the problem is it takes quite a bit before these engage and with all that time of engaging, you're getting sway and kind of a top-heavy feel when you're driving your RV. So that kind of gives you a little bit numb steering feel, your braking won't be as good, and just overall, it just feels a little bit vague and numb while driving. The SumoSprings are gonna be a little bit taller and they actually do a really good job of being progressive, meaning once they compress, they're gonna get stiffer as you lean more on them. So they're gonna contact quicker, reducing that sway immediately, but as you turn harder, they're gonna fight back and really give your suspension a fighting chance and you're gonna feel that in the steering wheel every time you make a turn. Now with our Sumos installed, you're gonna notice pretty quickly once you lower that front down to get that axle back to normal height that there's not a whole lot of gap under here where these Sumos are gonna rest, especially compared to our factory jounce, and that's a good thing, it's going to initiate quicker and just there's gonna take less gap here for that sway to allow before engaging, and something else I'll point out is if you look at the factory jounce bumpers, these are hollow inside here. more

This is gonna increase your ride quality of your vehicle by reducing body roll and sway. So, if we don't have these installed what happens when somebody buys a newer rv Because it's basically a box that you're driving down the road, You get a large crosswind, maybe you're passing a tractor trailer, maybe you're turning, making a sharp turn. What happens, because the vehicle code is top heavy it tends to lean sway, and then when it comes back, it tends to go like this, kind of goes back and forth. That's body roll and sway. This spring is gonna greatly reduce that by absorbing that and not allowing the top of the vehicle to sway so far. more

Hi there Winnebago owners. Today in your 2015 Winnebago Vista, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install SumoSprings on the front axle. And this is what our SumoSprings look like when they're installed. Now we do currently still have our motorhome lifted up a little bit with the leveling jacks, just so we can show that it is a two-piece design here. You can see the upper piece and the lower piece and it's important for our front suspension to have that full travel there available to it 'cause as you're trying to steer, hitting potholes and stuff, it's important for our front wheels to maintain contact with the road so if it needs to separate, it needs to separate. So they've got a two-piece design there to allow the system still function the way it needs to, but once we apply weight to it or our motorhome starts to sway in one direction, our SumoSpring here can help to support some of that weight and to help also prevent sway. more

We're basically driving a giant wind screen going down the highway, so we're fighting that wind, pushing the steering wheel back and forth, which eventually can get very tiring and not very much fun once we get to our location. So we're going to take our motorhome out or test course and see how it handles before we put our suspension upgrades on.As I'm driving through our bump course here, I can definitely feel each time I hit a bump, whether it's a solid bump and the front end's coming up and coming back down and bouncing really hard, or if it's the alternating bumps, to where we're getting a lot of body roll back and forth. more

Then our 2016, Winnebago Sunova motor home you're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install the SuperSpring SumoSprings Rebel Custom Helper Springs for the front axle part number SSSF-170-40-2. One of the common problems that people have when they buy a new RV is because the vehicle top is so heavy, basically you're driving a big box down the road. You get a big crosswind or you're passing a tractor trailer or even turning corners. Because it's so top heavy the RV tends to want to lean and you get a lot of body roll and sway. That's going to cause driver fatigue because a driver is having to muscle that steering wheel to keep it in the lane when you get that crosswind. What these are going to do for you, is going to greatly reduce that body roll because it's going to limit the amount of travel the top of your RV is going to do back and forth.What's great about having a two piece design is to allow for unlimited suspension travel. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Winnebago Adventure, we're gonna be installing Sumo Springs Maximum Custom Helper Springs for the rear axle, part number SSR-180-54-1.And this is what our springs are gonna look like when they're installed. They're gonna provide constant point of contact between your lead spring and the side of your frame so you'll have benefits for your Sumo Springs throughout the entire suspension travel, from fully extended to fully retracted.These springs can compress up to 80 percent to provide varying amounts of load doubling carrying capacity. You'll have one on each side, so if you have an uneven load, you'll have one spring applying more pressure than the other to help balance that out.Additionally, it'll help increase the smoothness of your ride, because you're going to have a proportional amount of spring tension the more it's compressed. It'll also help reduce sway, so if you're hitting any uneven pavement, these will help absorb some of that road shock and minimize the amount of sway you have.And, when wind is hitting up against the side of your motor home, these will also help, working in conjunction with one another to help minimize that sway. What this means for you is when you're driving down the road, you're gonna have a more comfortable, more relaxed drive because you're not gonna be fighting the road so much on those uneven pavements, potholes, and on windy days, it won't effect you as badly. Speaker 1: Today on our 2012 Winnebago Adventurer we're going to be installing SumoSprings Rebel custom helper springs for the front axle, part number SSF-170-40-2. We've currently got our suspension completely suspended so you can see what our springs I'll look like. When you go over large bumps, they will be able to separate and they'll come right back together. The alignment pin here in the center will line right back up with the one above it.These jounce bumpers are going to provide additional cushion in the front of the your vehicle, giving you a smoother ride. They're additionally going to act as load leveling, so if you have a slightly uneven weight inside your vehicle, the SumoSprings will help work with one another to level your vehicle back out and maintain a more stable ride. Additionally, when you hit any potholes, it's going to absorb some of that impact so it'll help reduce driver fatigue when going down the road. more
